I took my kids up to the Verde Valley for a day of swimming. Lee suggested that they might like this little hike as well, so I looked up the details and decided to do it first, then swimming later. Got started around 10am. Easy trail for my kids, and they were fine on the steeper sections too. They both LOVED the ruins, so we spent plenty of time looking through as many rooms as we could get to. It seemed like there were about three different "levels" of rooms that we zigzagged back and forth on. My daughter is a ruins junkie, so she wanted to stay all day. Had a snack, then headed back down as it was starting to warm up and there was no shade along the trail.
