I wasn't able to hike all week for numerous reasons--busy, husband out of town, kids not in school, heat, etc--so I jumped at the last minute chance to get a quick hike in the morning. I started a little after 4:45 to great weather--breezy, almost cool, clouds--I love it. Headed up hill, and was slowed down a bit by taking tons of pics of the beautiful sunrise. Saw no people or animals on my way up, save for a lot of birds. Got to the top and headed back down, seeing several people on my way back to the trailhead. Great morning, and got home just in time to get a quick shower then head to the airport to pick up my sister who will be in town for a hiking filled weekend.
