I naively pictured a woodsy coffee shop nestled in the forest with some older-type keeping the brew fresh. My dream quickly cleared when I saw the swarms of parents in tow behind emotional toddlers barreling towards the sweets shack.
The hike is paved the entire way up and then turns into a wide dirt trail on the slight descent to the top of the falls. Switchback posts count to 11, although it's a welcomed surprise that switchbacks 10 and 11 are on the descending side to the creek that narrows to the main falls. Excellent stop off the byway for a waterfall that can be seen from across the river in Washington. |
