| no partners | | Karen and I were determined to get to this viewpoint above Neroyfjord which is listed as one of the top ten views in Norway. Angling around a landslide just to the west of Flam on E16, we went north, west, south, then east to Gudvangan. From Gudvangan, it's a short drive up to Seltuft and the beginning of the Rimstigan trail. You only have to climb a several hundred feet to get the view down Neroyfjord that is just outstanding. We got there in plenty of time to hike about a 1000 feet up toward Bakkanosi then back down, and then to Flam, our home base.
There were lots of ferrys completing the "Norway in a Nutshell" loop. Also, a big group of kayakers playing in the fjord. Fantastic views all around, great day out. |
