It includes several trails, great vistas, some running water and some of the finest Ponderosa pine stands in the Catalinas, even a portion of the Arizona Trail. There is a good bit of water at some parts along Lemmon Rock Lookout trail, nearly all along the WOR trail and in the lower part of Trail #3 from the Gulch TH. We did the counterclockwise loop but the other way works fine. Some downed trees since last fall's visit. The temps were in the 100's in Tucson, but nice at 7000 feet plus. Some helicopter crews were still dropping water on the small fire that started on Thursday morning in upper Box Camp Canyon, but traffic was fine. Fire is apparently contained. We saw very few people except on Radio Ridge and near Marshall Gulch. Had to pass lots of GABA bikers on the way up, but not bad. Excellent weekday hike.
