Out of work one hour early made for a quick and easy hike up to little Ol Wagner Peak.
Wagner is part of the White Tank Mountains and lies on the Northwest outskirts of the mountain range right off Sun Valley Parkway within walking distance from the random community called "Sun City Festival".
The small peak resides on State Trust Land but it's surrounded by a lot of private land and of course the WTMRP so keep that it mind, not that anyone would really want to go here unless of course you live nearby or in the area.

You actually can't see the summit from the way I came, there are a couple false summits as funny as that sounds for a little peak barely popping over the 2,200 mark
Anyway the views atop are actually quite nice, not sure if I'm correct but I believe it used to be a triangulation station?
The reason being because there was some of the old equipment I've seen at other triangulation stations laying around along with some other old cables, wiring and perhaps an old antenna.
I searched with frustration for the benchmark that was supposed be there but found nothing, just the reference mark pointing it where I assume it was supposed to be. On top of no benchmark I also could not locate a register but the fresh beer cans up there lead me to believe that there has been plently of summit vandalism that's taken place, shame.
I'm a strong lover of beer but it really pisses me off when people can't pack out what they pack in, it's tarzan swinging' lighter on the way down anwyay! :SB:
With a little disappointment I made my way down an opposite ridge and took a slightly different route back to my SUV and found a couple cool antique buckets in the process.
Overall it was a great little hike to cap off the work day!
