| no partners | | I went out hiking in the area of the old Massacre Grounds Trail, you know that's when you used to be able to drive to the trailhead. This area has numerous old roads that zig-zag through the lower foothills and lots of shallow washes for the Deer and Javelina to hide in. It's a pleasant area to hike through and seldom do I run into another hiker.
I arrived early this morning in hopes of getting some exciting sunrise shots but the clouds were a bit thick in the predawn putting a damper on the "exciting sunrise" part of the hike. The morning was off to another chilly start with temps in the low 40's but no breezes to contend with but I had to keep the layers on because of the early overcast.
Lots of wildlife tracks in the wash but I didn't scare anything up, guess it's because I make so much noise just walking and stumbling in the rocky grounds. It was a quiet uneventful morning with some awesome views of the Goldfield's and Four Peaks lighting up as the sun broke over the Superstitions, had to be quick though cause the clouds made for some fast light-changing moods. |

On every trip into the Superstitions, I find another Gold Mine. Today the mine was filled with Memories. I can not wait for the next trip. |
