| no partners | | I wanted to hike an area that is between two large ancient Native societies, hoping to find some minor settlements. Accompanied by my trusty Tus we set out up the canyons. My goal was to get to the top of the mesas. These mesas come down from the north like fingers of a hand, not unlike the Hopi Mesas. The bushwacking up and down the mesa turned out to be a tad harder than I imagined, having fallen twice. I found nothing on top of the mesa but a great view and I came upon a metate at the bottom in an ancient agricultural area. Oh and Tus found the source of chocolate milk, so it was a great hike after all.
From Hansenaz's Dugas stroll, I was in the canyons on the right.
