I have hiked a few times in the Catalinas but never any of these trails. JJ and I took off our shoes and waded across the creek that poured over the road as we approached the Bear Canyon trail from the parking lot. Quite a few creek crossings ensued but we kept our feet dry. Not an easy task. It looked like we were the only ones to do so. Nick called us pumpkins for not just wading across.
We heard running, rushing, and roaring water nearly the entire hike. Expansive views and sheer canyon walls dominated. Seven Falls is running at a good flow. Pretty cool!
All in all a very nice hike. JJ took us to BK's for a big lunch. Yum! Thanks for everything John.
