wanted to get a quick lil hike in the supes after the recent rains in the valley. done a few hikes from first water TH but had read up on some of the history that pertains to the garden valley area with the us army and apaches, so we decided to do the loop. was a great day to be out, not too busy and the weather was perfect. you can see why the apaches used the garden valley as a routine temporary home back in the day, so much history in this area, not always good but such is life. had lunch in the valley, checked out the the grinding holes overlooking the old salado ruins and made our down thru to where the trail split between the two buttes and took the left one down to the creek and back to the trail. another great day in the supes!
