| no partners | | Up in the PNW for another work trip and managed to sneak in a few hikes along the Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon side. I wanted to get to the bottom of Elowah Falls but the trail is currently closed due to the trail being washed out and impassable. Not to worry, there's an abundance of trails and waterfalls to see all along the historic Highway 30. Ponytail is a cool little waterfall with the trail wrapping around behind the falls. It's not too far from the trailhead so I added on more distance by continuing over to Oneonta Falls. No rain (odd...) but plenty of eye-popping green foliage everywhere. Expected to see Hobbits running through the underbrush. |
