I had never hiked this loop before and honestly had kind of low expectations. It turned out to be pretty nice. We had clouds, shade, and nice temps most of the day. 9L managed to get us a quarter mile off trail within 3/4 miles of hiking-- a rather impressive and mathematically complicated feat. Lily had plenty of water to play in along the way and even found some lilypads to cool her own Lily pads near. Kathy read the historical markers for the benefit of us all. Karl mocked the gods with beer in hand which immediately brought rain, thunder, and lightning for the remainder of our hike. Tell my mother I'm rejoining the church.
