| partners | | We had planned on thru hiking from Peeley TH to City Creek TH but the road to Peeley was too rough for my low clearance shuttle vehicle. We have driven this road in low clearance in the past but it had a lot more washouts than before. So plan B was to hike Mount Peeley and then out and back to Bear Spring.
Hiked Mount Peeley first and still one of my favorite summits. Great views and visibility on a cloudless morning so we took a decent break. After that headed down to the Mazatzal Divide Trail and continued towards Bear Spring. It’s about 7 miles to the spring with gradual uphill most of the way. Reached the spring and took our lunch break and topped off water at the spring. Decent reliable water and it looked same as every other time we have visited.
After that we headed back to Peeley TH about 9 miles. Temps never got too hot even in the afternoon in the upper 70’s. Would have been great weather to camp at Bear Spring…one of these days will do an overnight there! |

| | Same clear pool we've seen in the past. Filtered 2 liters and tasted good. Very little after taste. | | _____________________
