| partners | | Beautiful day for an awesome hike with very special company. I'm glad these young bucks put up with this old fart. The route to Reavis Creek is well-trodden but the route up the creek definitely posed some challenges. The trade off for a strong flow at the falls is a difficult trek up & down the creek. Some cairns made it easier, but there were crossings that were tough. Definitely worth packing dry socks and a towel. I'm slower than Joe. So 3:25 in, 30min lunch, 10min changing socks & resting on the climb out and 3:45out. So just barely under 8hrs. I didn't manage my electrolytes, so I cramped up a little on the hike out. I saw Agendron, Eric and Joe hit the afterburners and that was the last I saw of them until I clawed my way to the top of the hill. Agendron earned "le maillot aux pois rouges", (the White Shirt with Red Dots) Awarded to the 'King of the Mountain" of the Tour de France. Thanks to Stiller for organizing the hike and to Dirt4Dinner for driving. |
