Got to the trailhead at 1930 Friday night and hiked into the fence just below Castle Dome (yes, we past the Falls trail markers in the night). There was a light mist most of the way and heavy mud as we neared Castle Dome. We were hoping for a full moon but that did not appear until the clouds burned off in the morning. The night was long with little sleep as we were pelted with intermittent rain, hail and fierce wind. In the morning we traversed cross-country until we met up with the Falls trail below Lime Mountain. We made it to the falls and enjoyed the sights and then hoofed it back to break camp and haul it back to the TH. We got back to the trailhead in time for a wonderful sunset.
