| no partners | | A friend of mine from the Air Force is in town and wanted to hike, so off we went to Fraesfield Trailhead in the McDowells North Preserve.
We combined four trails to make a lasso loop.
I was tempted to name this hike “Fish …. With A Rope On His Tail-Fin”.
That’s what the GPS track looks like.
The hike was all on trails and reminded me, again, how fast one can move, along a well groomed preserve trail. None of this ‘avoiding sharp things’, ‘climbing over things’, or ‘stopping every fifty feet’ to see where you should step next.
We saw alot of bikers and hikers.
My hike-mate and I laughed at 3 couples hiking together. The gals were bunched together and having a great time, and the three ‘straggling guys' had the “longest faces and frowns” you can imagine.
I think they wanted to be Anywhere except on a hike.
Anyway, it was a nice hike, on a nice day, with an old friend that wanted some exercise.
Good times. |
