| no partners | | In San Antonio for a business trip. Suffice it to say that San Antonio is not a hot bed for great hikes. So, I consoled myself by renting on of those city bikes and doing the 5 missions tour by pedal. Most of the time, I was on the Riverwalk trail, which makes a great bike path and, once you get out of downtown, is smooth sailing. (No bikes allowed in the busiest sections, right in the heart of the city). It was a beautiful day, and the miles went by smoothly, despite the limitations of the rent-a-bike.
Each of the 5 missions was cool in its own right. I likely would have enjoyed them less if I'd taken the traditional bus tour. |
