Took a group of young women from our church congregation to explore West Fork. This was a great option: easy, accessible, and as always--beautiful! They loved it. Parking is always a challenge. We arrived just before noon and had to wait for some folks to leave before we were allowed in the parking area. The wait was fairly short, though. You don't hike this trail for the solitude, so the crowds were not unexpected. That said, there were more folks out than I would have anticipated for a Thursday. I can only imagine what it's like on weekends.

We expected to get rained on, but somehow avoided the monsoon forecast. Water in the creek was down from the other time I visited a few years back, but still enough to make the creek crossings fun.
