Three of us went to check on some potential realignments along a 1.3 mile section at the southern end of Cottonwood trail #120 (the section of trail from FR 83 to Cottonwood Spring). The goal is to get several sections out of the creek bed onto the side of the creek (less rocks/boulders underfoot) and perhaps reduce the number of creek crossings.

FR 83 is quite the adventure when you start the big climb up to the AZT! And the descent is equally “exciting"

We figured out 4 or 5 potential realignments to be investigated further with Tonto FS.
