| no partners | | Signed up for segment 27a for AZT IN A DAY. In talking with Shawn I found out the section hiking crew had signed up for 27b. We were trying to help with vehicle logistics and in the end they helped us more than we helped them but we did help a little: I drove Shawn’s truck back from the end of 27a (start of 27b) to the start of 27a and they picked it up from there.
The creek was flowing nicely from all the rain and the trail was in a good shape. There were a few deadfall but all were easy to navigate around and I dragged a couple that could be easily moved off the trail.
(Most deadfall are between mile 1.4 and 2.2, second area at top of climb)
We met another couple who were hiking southbound and then we saw them again later on when they were going back to get their shuttle vehicle and this time we figured out we were both doing AZT IN A DAY.
Stopped by That Brewery for a beer afterwards but missed seeing the section hiking crew and toddak. |
