| no partners | | I just got back from an amazing weekend of wildlife photography in the White Mountains. This was just a short one night trip. I've never seen so much wildlife in 24 hours. Antelope, elk, and bighorn sheep. The yearly elk rut has begun. That was the primary mission. I saw far more than I could photograph. Numerous heads of cows and every group with a nice mature bull in tow. The elk are camera shy. That's normal. The sheep are like farm pets. The only trick to viewing the sheep up close is finding them. It's so amazing to be that close to big game animals. Very cool.
This time of year is special. I'm heading back next weekend for three days. I cant wait!

Wildflowers Observation Substantial A sea of yellow across meadows near McNary. Lot's of sunflowers in places. Very pretty. |
