This hike is in the Big Lake area. The trail runs along the West Fork of the Black River making it easy to fly fish and poke along on the trail. We saw two man made dams of about 4 feet in height used to keep apache trout from swimming up stream and mixing with other trout in the area. The signs saying where you could and could not fish were confusing. We spent about 2 hours on the river and trail. No luck fishing.
