I had not hiked an AZT segment since 2013

. Bought a new backpack last August and hadn't really used it. Time to get busy! Kelly and I backpacked/hiked Blue Ridge segment #27 from north to south and back north. So nice to be able to camp near fresh clear running water.
After we finished we drove to Blue Ridge reservoir for a dip. Saw a bald eagle fly by. We then drove up to segment #29.
