Second trip to the cabin was better than memory served on the first. Casner looming overhead on the hike out was intimidating until I realized the top of Dogie is much lower... lol

Met a guy from Tennessee in a Civic at the trailhead. He just finished a two day loop with Winter Cabin and Casner. Not a fan of trail maintenance or signage from Sycamore up to Casner. Scouting hunters that were also runners reported seeing 27 deer.

Road is obviously doable in a Civic. That said it'll rattle your world regardless of what you drive.

Chilly day beats the oven of summer. Great to see everyone and finally meet Alex after all these years!
