Nice cool day for a wandering hike along various of the myriads of wild horse trails between the Bulldog Blue Point gate and Forest Road 3554.

Roughly a half-mile north of FR3554 in a very narrow tightly-twisting tiny canyon we encountered a young colt with an injured, possibly broken right front leg.

Since there was nothing we could do for it at that moment, we climbed up a canyon wall and kept enough distance so as not to scare it into running away.

As soon as we got home I sent an email with location information and a photo of the colt for identification purposes to the Salt River Wild Horse Management Organization.
