Last day of spring break for me, so I made one last trek to see the low desert before the wildflowers died out. Hiked up to Bulldog Saddle from the Meridian trailhead and down the north face of the mountain before heading straight uphill toward by destination. Angled over to the high point of the ridge line, which was my initial destination. Looking down into the valley, I could see a ton of color below. Lots of wildflowers along the Pass Mountain Trail. I decided to attempt the trek over to that trail along the ridge line. Somehow I managed to bend a trekking pole on the way over, but I made it in one piece and got some great shots of California poppies on the way down.
