A question from Mark about Cat Mountain got things started for this hike. I was planning on hiking the unofficial Krein Trail up on First Ridge (aka Bobcat Ridge on some maps) at some point in the future, as I hadn't been there yet. We corresponded and he said he was planning on doing it the next day, so the hike was set. We hiked the ridge trail from north to south, but I agree with Mark's assessment that it would be better done the other direction. I really enjoyed being up on the ridge for the great views, plus the trail was really nice for being unofficial.

I'm glad Mark let me tag along, as it is a lot easier to point things out in the field versus via messages.
