| no partners | | We hiked the Garwood Loop back in 2016 and really enjoyed the area, so we thought we would check out the falls during a weekday to avoid crowds. This hike follows the Douglas Spring trail, and then turns off South at 2.7 miles into the hike. We also noticed there is another fall (Emmie's Falls) at the same intersection but North (0.8 miles) so we figured we would hit both falls.
They were both quite nice, and water was flowing OK.
Over all a great hike. In addition to the falls, during the loop, we must have ran into a 4-6 streams. The park is wetter then I expected, Probably a lot to do with the time of year.
Didn't really start seeing people until we come out of the foot-hills back in the main area of the park.
Surprised that there wasn't very many wildflowers. Seems that we may be getting more rain then Tuscon so far this year.
Fun hike! |
