| no partners | | Quite a nice hike. We got a nice early start as usual, no cars at the trailhead (yeahhh). This is a loop hike and since we were starting at the top of the mountain we knew this would be a down then up hike. down, down we went. we expected the trail to start going back up about at mile 4. The trail did turn back in the right direction, but we bumped along and didn't really start going up until about mile 6, so it was a steep climb out.
It was a nice hike, but this one wore us both out. Not sure if it was because we hadn't hiked for a month or so, or it may have been the altitude, but we were glad to see the car! Although we didn't see anyone on the hike until near the end, there were a ton of cars at the trailhead when we got back at about 11am. This seems to be a popular destination at this time of year, other trailheads were not nearly as full. |
