| no partners | | | We headed up to Narada Falls from Longmire. Crossing the Nisqually River in the morning we got some pretty good views of the mountain but there were some clouds. Surprisingly there was not a lot of traffic on the roads or trails today. We passed Carter Falls and Madcap falls before reaching Narada Falls. When the sun was out there was a small rainbow at the bottom of the falls. As we headed back to Longmire, we noted on that reflection lake was only 1.5 miles away and since it was still a little early for lunch we decided to push on and make that our lunch spot. A little more climbing and we were there. Clouds were starting to hide Rainier and while the wind helped with the bugs, it did not help with the reflection. But it was still a good spot to eat lunch and soak in the views. Fortunately the return trip was almost entirely downhill. Another great day out on the trails! |
