| no partners | | | Even though we didn't get many views of the mountain today, seeing a bear right past the trailhead was the highlight. He was feasting on berries about 100 meters up above the start of the trail so that was a great way to start the day. Saw some pikas, tons of chipmunks and a mountain goat so while mountain views were not to be found, wildlife was! Dusty as usual on this trail but the wind kept the temps down and the bugs away. A fair number of people on the trail today but it wasn't too crowded. Parking lot was overflowing when we returned. Only a few wildflowers left at this time. |
