Dodged a few rain drops on my drive in. Road 237 is in decent shape anyway all the way down to the usual parking spots. I cruised the mountain bike on down the last mile or so and ran into a father son duo that were looking for the route down to the creek for a 3 day stint. They followed me on the bike as far as they could drive and I gladly showed them the route down. The trail is loose, steep, and hard to follow in spots. The creek is pretty low and the deeper spots are getting mossed in pretty good. I saw several other fishermen working their way upstream. The campsite with the fortress has been modified since last year. Hiked back out just as the skies darkened and opened.
