A quick out-and-back hike to Hackberry Spring from Needle Vista.

It was warm and sticky at the start but at least it was overcast with heavy clouds near the Supes ridge line. After figuring out which layer of clouds was moving in which direction, I forecast we'd have shade for about an hour before the direct sunshine. I was pretty close... at 56 minutes we had intermittent sun.

Although there was a pool of water behind the pipe and the ground below it was wet, there was not any dripping at all from the pipe itself. Bees were all that was moving in and around the pipe.

We had full sun on the return trip but a steady breeze made it pleasant enough.
