| partners | | My legendary neighbor shared another entertaining story of his travels spanning of over fifty years of living, hunting and adventuring the expansive land of Rim Country and beyond.
Weather could not have been better as we descended down into the beast of the canyon eventually finding some perennial water and other spots of “Refuge in the Rough”.
The country is vast, the views are spectacular and the history is rich in this canyon as there has been many occupants from the ancients to the cowboys.
As always I’m humbled and amazed by any archaeological sites but these particular ruins we’re truly marvelous and had some of the best views I’ve seen from a dwelling.
I’ve racked up well over a hundred miles roaming specifc areas of this mighty wilderness in recent years but as with many places in Arizona it feels like the surface has yet to have been scratched.
So many questions to be answered and so much land still to see... |
