chums put together a sunday hike in the pinals
always a good choice for some fall color
finally an opportunity to hike with kyle

left town at 0630, meeting karl and kathy at the trailhead
up icehouse, then once past the intersection with telephone, we started seeing some maples
went up to signal peak and took a break
very windy up there today
temps were fine all day
over to pinal peak, hitting the ladder rock and then down to ferndell
good color up high
down sixshooter, taking another break at preston's corner
sixshooter was better than i remembered - a nice soft pine needle covered trail
the last half mile isn't anyone's favorite, but better than the lower two miles of icehouse
nice hike with a good group
plenty of worthwhile color, and should be for another week or so
next time i'd like to try this [ RS Mapped triplog ]
nice to get in a hike with kyle, see kathy and karl again and always good to hike with chums and john
