Joe put this Loop together using some of a previous loop, with an attempt to get in some new territory.
The Keegan Trail #91 is on some Topos, so let's get boots on the ground and see what's what. Unfortunately, when we got over there, the no trespassing sign turned us around. Did we turn around too soon?
Next up a favorite, the Yankee Doodle Trail. This follows the Longfellow Ridgeline with big views to both the East and west. Recent maintenance is appreciated as we ran into the 6 person ACE Crew on and 8 day stint funded by the City of Prescott.

I didn't have fond memories of the Arrastra Trail. I guess my memory was not that keen, because I enjoyed both the section west and east of the Senator (cough) Highway.
Just east of the Senator, we hiked past one of the guys we'd passed on the drive in. He and another were part of a club, whose signs we've seen on other claims in the area. They were sluicin' it up in Turkey Creek.

The Pine Flat Connector is only a hint of a trail. It terminates in another potential No Trespassing area. It was not signed in the direction we were traveling.
Great weather, if not a tad chilly on the Doodle. |
