| no partners | | | PE and picnic Monday. Did this hike with Sarrah 6-7 years ago and forgot about it until trying to figure out a novel activity for the kids. 5 min. From the house and you probably won’t find this one on the internet. No signs or anything. We made it all the way up to the cascade flume road. Sadly I think it had been rerouted in last 6 years as we didn’t see FAT Man’s Squeeze. We got snow and grauple, but 40+ degree temps. Ended up being about 2.1 miles where we turned around and 900+ AEG. Consequently w/out noticeable switch backs this one is steep with lot’s of ladders and ropes and other obstacles which is why the kids liked it so much. Today they made lunch for all of us and carried the packs. We practiced route finding and the kids got lot’s of balance and coordination practice. |
