1st - I got 'er done. I did think about turning back one time. It was a little warmer than I like.
2nd - the wildflowers were much more than I expected. It must have been something else early last week. I was certainly surprised at even what is left. I should have filmed rather than just taking photos. I just didn't realize how much there would be; that would happen again on Sunday going thru the Phx Mountain Reserve.
I really just wanted to hike today but the wildflowers wouldn't let me
3rd - yep, lots of people and most of them were living up to Scottsdale's old "snobby" reputation. Most folks seem to be hiking/biking it clockwise. Seeing many more families than normal everywhere I've been hiking. That's a good thing; maybe they will do more of it in the future.
4th - did see quite a few lizards and heard many birds. I wonder what they all think of this increased people traffic... |

Wildflowers Observation Light There were quite a few poppies and lupine still showing off. The Brittlebush is waning; must have been something else last week. A few chuparosa and some scorpionweed. |

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
