| no partners | | Day 2 of my Observatory Mesa exploration....
Left my house (near Tunnel Springs) to explore the "northern" part of Observatory Mesa, planning to drop down into Shultz Pass area/Coconino Estates. I climbed up to the Mars Hill junction and took a wrong turn onto a forest road heading west (can see in my gps route).
Corrected and got back on the trail heading north again...crossed a few more FR roads being careful to stay on the single track.
Interestingly, saw a retired co-worker and her husband on this trail, along with a few trail runners up from the homes!!!
I then dropped down into a SUPER NICE neighborhood and hit the "Karen Cooper Trail" (FUTS)...followed that into Coconino Estates where Val picked me up on Mead street. It was then off to Oreganos for some takeout!! |
