Last time I had done this trail was my "pre-HAZ" days, so well over 23 years ago. I remember having my now adult daughter in a "baby-backpak"!! :)

I also don't remember this trail being "moderate" (but rather easier) - however, yesterday was a bit more challenging than I had anticipated (probably because of my rapidly declining and aging bod and/or the elevation.)

Did this hike with my younger friend David - we had good conversation and enjoyed a beautiful day!!

We drove in from Elden Springs, and left my vehicle at Shultz Tank, taking his up to Snowbowl.
Uneventful day, saw a beautiful deer about 50 yards away (see pics) - he kept his eye on us, but never bolted. Stopped for a shady snack/break, but giant mosquitos forced us to end early!

My 57 y/o feet were pretty sore by the time we got back to Shultz Tank (via Weatherford)
