| no partners | | Continuing to try to regain some of what I've lost, fitness-wise. My feet really have never gotten much better. A nice little bike ride to the Museum of Northern Arizona, mostly using the urban trail and the bike lanes. I really think a town is truly civilized which is willing to spend money to build separated bicycle paths.
To quote a friend of mine: "Keeps automobiles off the bike roads. Gives people a place to drive their cars." Ah, yes, in a bike-centric world that would be the case!
I had a free pass to the museum. (I still have three more of them! Yay!) I spent over an hour in the geology room, and also looked at the Paleo Indian exhibits. I've been to the museum before, so yes, I know what is in the other rooms. I bought a book called Geology Underfoot in Northern Arizona. It's kind of like Roadside Geology, but a bit more detailed.
I went looking for Rob del Desierto, but he was busy cataloging some old teeth, (whereas I myself had two dental appts. that day. It was an incisive day for sure.) And later on we met for dinner. I hadn't seen him in about 4 years!
This isn't really mountain biking but I did ride a mountain bike. It's not really road biking, although I did ride on a road. |
