| no partners | | Needed to return from Deming, NM back to Flagstaff so I decided to take Highway 180 and stop at this state park and check it out. I paid my $5 fee online and put the pass on my dashboard. Started the Hydra hike right from the Visitor Center.
Wind was blowing a bit, and it was nippy...but I managed with shorts and a sweatshirt.
Overall, I wasn't blown away by the "groomed" Hydra trail...it's basically just a loop around the good stuff (the rocks). Had I known this post hike, I would have traded for the Table Mountain hike which overlooks the part and I think that would have been much more satisfying.
Was worth the visit. |
