We started this hike from the spring end and FR 616. We hiked 2 miles down stream, hung a hammock, took a nap and returned the way we came.

The spring is gushing right now and the creek is flowing nicely. The running water over sandstone and the modest cascades along the way made for a scenic hike. For fans of the ferns that normally line this trail, they are about three inches high right now, but abundant.

A great option for us and the dogs. This place left me pretty impressed again. I might have to give it another star.
