During our Flagstaff trip I wanted to get a few more miles in and escape the relatively-hot 87 degree day. Lockett Meadow was as beautiful as I remembered it from 20-years prior. After a Crystal Creek lunch at the trailhead, we all took off together. Everyone else turned back after a mile. I wish they had continued just a little further to see the amazing aspen grove that was not part of the route last time I hiked it (that I can remember, anyway). I continued to the opening of the Inner Basin, by watershed #10 I think. Time constraints forced me turn back, as usual. But I'm definitely going to return to spend more time here.
