Decided to try something a bit different and scaled the southern cliff up to the Coon bluff ridge.
Checking out the sole re-attachment and it appears the BootFix Shoe-Glue repair is doing a better job than the original.
BTW, Keen provided a warranty credit to be used on their site but I declined the offered Targhee II replacement and ordered the new model Targhee III.
After my boot issues I did more research and found nothing but awful reviews so no way I'd try the same thing. Besides, the gray part of the soles are as soft as marshmallows, allowing thorns easy access through the sole and into my foot.

Although the sole is a completely different design, the replacement has even more areas of the soft gray-matter in the sole, with the same painful result. ](https://hikearizona.com/dex2/images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall")
