| partners | | john and i did azt #8 as an out and back overnight starting from gabe zimmerman
got going around 0630 saturday morning in chilly temps
backpacked to la selvilla campground where we set up camp
continued with lighter packs to hope camp and took a break
temps were warm and there wasn't much shade, so we headed on back
long day hike, but a good choice based on water availability at the campground
the blue moon lit things up all night and temps seemed warmer at dawn than at dusk
coffee and breakfast while packing up, then back to the trailhead with lighter packs
at fito's for breakfast burritos before ten, home early
nice way to do these, as i need to practice backpacking
this was a more scenic passage than #7
the last few miles before hope camp couldn't be easier hiking, even on the return
saw quite a few mountain bikers both days
love the view of the rincons
everything was bone dry
didn't take many photos, thought i had one of the rincon view
