| partners | | | We had a couple hours to kill in the morning so we chose to hike a small section of Arizona Trail #8 near La Posta Quemada Ranch. Started in Colossal Cave Mountain Park and headed South along the Arizona Trail to the Saddle Just South of Posta Quemada Ranch. No one on the trail for this first cool day in Tucson. Very dry, hope we get some rain with this storm passing through tonight and tomorrow. This is the section of the AZT that has the most ridiculous switch back system, it is 1.25 miles for getting up to a saddle that is 250 feet up. I think the trail designer should have their license revoked ( I know they are volunteers). Great bike trail if you are a mountain biker. Scenery was nice and the weather was overcast. |
