| no partners | | I've been looking at this possible loop for awhile now. This uses the 2004 Boy Scout, Wise "Trail" to gain the Rim. On a previous try, I made it to the top of Mount Meg, with no obvious way to the ridge line. This time I made my own way.
Once on the ridge line, I started seeing the tags the Boy Scouts had marked the trail with back in the day. The route up favors the right side of ridge most of the way up. It was nice to make the top and see the TH sign.
Next was to find my way down from Pine Point. On previous trips here I'd seen cairns, so I followed them down.
There was actually a fairly good use trail here, so no problem getting down.
Absolutely perfect hiking weather. |
