| partners | | | We had a view of some super interesting rock formations from our campsite so we decided to go check them out. We were the only vehicle at the TH, so that was awesome! We took a social trail off the main trail to get to the top of the formations we saw. There was a bit of bushwhacking and catclaw, but minimal bloodshed. The view was pretty sweet up there overlooking into Sycamore Canyon Wilderness area. We leisurely explored around and admired some new {to us} Sedona views. We definitely want to come back and backpack there! We spotted some really cool looking alcoves across the canyon and took some zoomed pics so we could research the approach a bit more. Very curious if anyone has been in them! We looped around and linked back up to Dogie trail and headed out. It was a short excursion after a leisurely day enjoying our amazing campsite. Definitely want to check out this area a lot more! |
