| no partners | | | Had to work in the morning and just wanted to do a quick solo exercise hike nearby in the afternoon. I had heard the Adero Canyon TH had re-opened and figured it could be a good choice to avoid crowds. I started on Promenade trail then looped the upper and lower Sonoran trails. I find it highly amusing that they rate these as difficult on their signage because they are easy, moderate at most. There are rolling hills and a couple of rocky sections but it’s nowhere near difficult. Anyway, I got a decent workout and some fresh air without too many people and didn’t have to drive very far. I’ll take it. There are options to do shorter or longer versions of this hike so it’s good for any skill level. They have paved the road to the TH and it has bathrooms. Sadly, every day can’t be an adventure! |
